Technical Solidarity collaborates with CIRPS (Interuniversity Research Center for Sustainable Development) to support the Saharawi population. This group, driven away from their traditional territories, relies exclusively on humanitarian aid, and lives in refugee camps in highly inhospitable places. The ongoing projects aim to develop a small scale subsistence economy, as a first step towards economic independence.
The main field of intervention is planning photovoltaic systems, both technologically and economically sustainable, for pumping and desalination of drinking and irrigation water. An artisanal business has been created, for the production of aluminum medals from garbage.
